SHIPPING YOUR VISION
At Visions In Wood, we have dealt with the many pitfalls of ordering online, or from a
catalog.  We have received purchases that were not in the condition we might have hoped.
We recognize that this sort of hassle is part of doing business in this modern world.

Our goal, however, is to reduce this reality as much as is possible.

Visions In Wood prides itself on its Shipping Department.

We have carefully studied, analyzed and reviewed the aspects of packaging our
merchandise and have conceived of ways of unifying these concepts.
Each of our pieces is packed with care, for every individual customer.
We know what it takes for a piece to reach you intact and undamaged and we take the extra
precautions to ensure that it does.

At Visions In Wood, we strive always to be environmentally friendly. To this end, most of the
packaging material, (approximately 90%), we use is donated to us from other businesses. By
utilizing their surplus supplies and unused materials, we help to reduce our carbon
footprint, while, at the same time, protect our furniture during transit.

We encourage you to reuse the packing material from you
r Visions In Wood purchase, in
any way you can! Please feel free to notify us of any unique uses you have found for these
materials.
If you, or your employer, regularly throws out, or has a surplus of packaging materials, such
as bubble wrap, heavy paper, or plastic wrapping, feel free to let us know. We would love to
put it to good use!

(Please note, we have no need for Styrofoam peanuts, or materials that are badly soiled,
stained, or otherwise corrupted.)
We examine each piece and
evaluate the least expensive,
yet most protective form of
packaging.
We begin with an inner layer
of protection, including
bubble-wrap as well as other
mediums, as needed.
We continue with an outer
layer of protection, usually
consisting of a cardboard
boundary that keeps the
edges of the piece safe from
any outside impact.
Finally, we wrap the whole project
with a final layer of heavy paper.
shrink-wrap. Bundled within, is
our individually written Item Sheet.
This page of information not only
lists the specific characteristics of
your piece, but the care and
handling instructions for all pieces
of Vision In Wood furniture.
After we feel that the piece is as
secure as possible, we then box it
and pad it again.
We want nothing more than for our
art to arrive at your door in the
same condition as it left our shop.
