VISIONS IN WOOD

At Visions In Wood, we strive to maintain a unique approach to our
craftsmanship. Each of our creations is crafted as a one-of-a-kind
piece. No one else in the world will own an item quite like the one
you proudly display in your home.

All of our pieces are crafted entirely from hardwood.
The rails, stiles, tops and bases are created from quality hardwood,
hand-picked for their aesthetic beauty.

Even the larger elements of furniture, such as bookcase shelves,
cabinet backs and drawer components, are crafted from select and
better - A-1 grade plywood, (the industry's highest-rated.)

We typically work with five popular wood species:
Oak, Cherry, Walnut, Maple and Ash.

Every hand-crafted item we create is completely sealed -
top and bottom, inside and out - with five coats of
Nitrocellulose Lacquer.
We have found this to be a superior finish compared to
many others on the market, such as, polyurethane.

By meticulously applying this medium, and sanding
between each coat, the item is far more protected from
everyday wear. This, also, allows for the natural expansion
and contraction of wood, while helping to minimize
splitting and cracking.

Each of our pieces is Individually Numbered.
This allows us to identify your work and easily coordinate
with any future projects you may desire, by matching wood
type, stain color and design style.

We pride ourselves with our Shipping Department, which
endeavors to ensure that your purchase arrives to you in
the same condition that it left our facility. We spend the
extra time protecting our pieces to avoid damage during
shipping.

recognize that this additional cost will be factored into the final
price of a custom purchase.

We recognize that you may have a certain Vision in mind
and we will work with you toward that end.

We may be able to offer alternatives, while still achieving the
same overall effect.

We offer a large selection of wood stain colors to choose from.
As the industry leader in stain products, we have had great success
with Minwax stains.
