It started innocently enough - My wife wanted a trivet for a large
soup pot or large platters.
I designed a functional, quality piece of woodcraft for her,
accentuated with a marble tile as a center point and figured that was
the end of it.
My wife decided she liked the piece so much that she left it out on our
dining room table all the time.
When not hosting pots or serving dishes, it displayed her floral
arrangements, candles, and even holiday cards. It seemed never to
leave the center of our table, and over time, became a part of it.
Within a short time, her friends appreciated and identified with its
features and function and wanted one of their own. I then found
myself creating many more, in varying design.
After a while, it seemed to me that this might be the next addition to
the Visions In Wood product line. I created several differing types of
trivets and displayed them at our next show.
The response was phenomenal. We sold out of the stock we had, and
took orders for twice as many more.
Since then, we have furthered our imagination to incorporate every
type of wood we use, as well as, many different types of marble and
granite stones. We have also added a smaller sized trivet to suit other
needs.
